Doula Services
As a certified doula, or birth assistant, I work with you to clarify your needs and desires during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I also accompany you and your partner during labor to help create a safe and satisfying birth experience, offering my support for whatever choices you make. I draw on my knowledge and experience to provide emotional support and physical comfort, and assist you in communication with hospital staff to make sure you have the information you need to make informed decisions. I can provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, positioning, and other techniques for comfort.
It is my intention to help you access your own inner resources for giving birth, and to enhance, rather than detract from your relationship with your partner. I am experienced and comfortable working with all kinds of families, including LGBTQ identified individuals and couples, and single parents.

The following are included in the doula services I offer:
• Free initial consultation
• 2-3 prenatal appointments (time allowing)
• Birth plan counseling
• Client handouts and information
• Access to my lending library
• Individualized recommendations for reading and viewing
• Phone and email support throughout your pregnancy
• 24-hour on call two weeks before and after your due date
• Early labor support individualized to your needs
• Continuity of care throughout active labor
• 2 postpartum visits
• Breastfeeding support
• Referrals to local resources and services
As a childbirth professional, I am committed to remaining up to date on current research into birth related issues, and maintaining complete confidentiality of all details relating to your pregnancy and birth.
Cost: $750.
Reimbursement may be available from health insurance or flex spending accounts. Payment plan or sliding scale available.
