Bodywork

  • Craniosacral therapy is an extremely gentle, non-invasive, and effective form of bodywork. It calms the nervous system and normalizes the body's response to stress. CST also works to release restrictions in the muscle, fascia, and skeletal layers to restore optimal function and ease of movement.

CST is beneficial for everyone, but because it is so gentle, it is an especially effective form of bodywork for babies.

CST can help infants release the effects of bodily and emotional stress from difficult births, restricted range of movement in utero, and generalized tension. Other indications for infant CST include:

    Digestive issues

Breastfeeding difficulties, such as shallow latch

    Tongue tie and post-revision care

Babies who favor nursing on one side/turning to one side

    Babies with frequent earaches

    Babies who dislike tummy time

    Asymmetrical face or head shape

Monica has been treating babies with CST since 2011. Your baby will be treated with the utmost kindness and respect, always.

  • Integrative bodywork sessions are customized to your needs, and may include Reiki, CST, lymphatic drainage, and guided meditation.

Reiki is a form of energy healing, originating in Japan. Translated as "universal life energy," Reiki works holistically with the body, mind, and spirit to balance the energy field, release what is no longer needed, and promote peace and relaxation.

Research has shown that Reiki decreases stress, aids in the treatment of insomnia, anxiety, and depression, helps relieve pain, and increases the body's natural immune response.

Reiki is also a powerful way to connect to your inner wisdom and/or your spirituality, in whatever way you define or experience it.

In-person and distance Reiki sessions are available.

Monica is an experienced Reiki master/teacher. She has been working with Reiki since 1995.
